No. You do not need to have the Lyft app or a Lyft account. Once we make the arrangements for a Lyft driver to pick you up, you will receive all of the details of the ride via text message on your mobile phone.

You will provide your Guaranteed Ride Home voucher to the taxi cab driver as payment (gratuity is not included with the voucher). Taxi cab drivers will not accept photocopies, facsimiles, or expired vouchers. If you do not have a valid Guaranteed Ride Home voucher available for payment at the time of your ride, you will be responsible for payment of your ride. Participants will not be reimbursed for services provided.

South Florida Vanpools which are registered with South Florida Commuter Services can utilize the Guaranteed Ride Home program in the event that the vanpool breaks down. If all members of the vanpool are going to the same location then the group is only required to use one (1) voucher. However, if the members of the group are going to separate locations, each member must use their own voucher.

You will only be picked-up from the work address on your SFCS profile. It is your responsibility to keep your information updated. You will not be able to utilize your voucher for an Guaranteed Ride Home trip if you request a ride from another location.

No. Using another participant’s voucher is considered a violation of the program. Both you and the other participant will receive a violation which may result in immediate termination from the program for up to one (1) year.
